The function of the B.M.M. Draw Frame is to take rovings from the Carder and create a roving, absolutly consistent in size over its entire length. It also further alligns the fibers to parallel, and makes a stronger roving for ease of processing or packaging. You can make the roving bigger or smaller at this stage. The draw frame blends multiple rovings into one fiber stream. Blending at this stage can create very unique end products.
Here is a close look at the draw frame without any of the safety guards or other options. By using the speed settings and consistent infeeds of roving, the user is able to make much thicker and denser roving than in the past.
